Moranbah Police and Moranbah Braking the Cycle joined forces this week to attend the 2017 Careers Expo held at Moranbah State High School.
The Careers Expo was attended by school kids from years seven through to 12 from schools throughout the Central Highlands, including Moranbah, Dysart, Clermont and Glenden.
Moranbah Police and Moranbah Braking the Cycle were joined by a number of employers in the area, including Isaac Regional Council, BMA and the Australian Defence Force. There were also a number of educational institutions there, including several universities.
The event was attended by approximately 600 school kids all keen to find out information about potential career choices and options for further education.
The event was a great success and the Police and Braking the Cycle stall had a steady flow of kids keen to find out more about joining the police.
Even a few intrepid individuals were keen to check out the police vehicle and experience a seat in the back of the pod.
It was great to be part of such an important day for our youth, and we look forward to hopefully seeing some familiar faces dressed in blue in the years to come.
